Cezary Harasimowicz - Scriptwriter. Actor. Writer.
He studied history of art at the London Cortauld Institute of Art, and Polish studies at KUL. Worked as an actor in the National Theatre in Wrocław. He wrote scripts for eight feature films, popular tv series (among others, the cult Ekstradycja). From 1989 worked as a literary director in a film studio. He lectures on scriptwriting.
In 1989 he won the European Film Award for 300 miles to Heaven. In 1994, for the script to Bandyta he won the first prize in the Hartley-Merrill competition and had a chance to take part in the Robert Redford workshops at the Sundance Institute, where his script was considered the best.
He works with the best Polish directors. He is a member of the European Film Academy. Currently, he is working with Paweł Pawlikowski (a BAFTA winner) and the producer Lars von Trier, on another film co-produced by von Trier's Zentropa.
