KAN 2002 Finals

III Festival of Amateur and Independent Cinema - KAN 2002 - 9-12 April 2002


Third Edition of KAN was doubtless most successful - we invited to co-operation ones of the most famous people of Polish cinema and culture (Jury, Piotr Fronczewski). To our festival answered a record number of creators. Thank you!

Festival (9-12 April 2002): :
I day - presentation of amateur and independent feature films,
II day - beginning of the competitive part,
III day - last presentations of films that took part in competition; after demonstration invited guests, artists and spectators moved to a festival club Stajnia nr 8a (Stable No. 8a), where they could discuss and exchange opinions about the competitive films,
4. day - solemn giving of awards for the productions and a concert (in festival club) of a music group of Pawel Wenderski.


The Festival was presented by

Justynę Tworek in "duel" with a voice of famous polish actor Piotr Fronczewski..

The Results of the III Festival of Amateur and Independent Cinema - KAN 2002:

At night (Thursday - Friday 11-12 April), about 3:30 the jury took the verdict. In jury sat on:

Stanisław Lenartowicz - director ("Giuseppe w Warszawie")
Sylwester Chęciński - director ("Sami swoi")
Wojciech Todorow - operator ("Pogrzeb kartofla")
Jarosław Marszewski - director ("Jutro będzie niebo")
Petro Aleksowski - operator ("Cze¶ć Tereska")
Piotr Kolski - representative of organizers
Paweł Balcarek - representative of organizers

Three films were awarded with KANewka and six received distinctions:
