13th edition is equal to many changes, also in festival's management staff. How they say, something ends, something begins. It happens here too. We would like to thank former KAN's Director, Agata Łojakowska, and former Artistic Director, Monika Czepielewska, for great work, passion and heart inserted in previous KAN. This year edition is time for fresh blood: directors responsibilities belongs now to Joanna Kulińska, while Sebastian Sroka became the Artistic Director. Director - Joanna Kulińska
Philologist, coach, cultural animator and a lover of movies. Student of Wroclaw's University, Polish teacher by profession, fascinated by the design and correctness of the Polish language, with love social activist. For years has been related with Freya Foundation, which organized trips for children to Siberia, Moldova and Serbia, where as a camp's guardian is teaching kids about the region's culture and customs. Volunteer in ZSP, had organized Fama, Kan, Primus Inter Pares. Co-organizer of the student movement Fresh.
Still smiling, full of positive energy, has got a million ideas for a minute and wills to realize them. Free time spends on watching films in the cinema, at home, outdoors. Discharges energy in the gym, where she devises new plans of actions.
Where is good humor and great fun - there is Joanna. Her favourite quotation/motto: Drama is life with the dull bits cut out (Alfred Hitchcock).
Artistic Director - Sebastian Sroka
Professionally associated with the cinema, specialist in Cultural Institution Odra - Film, where is responsible for coordinate film events and for tasks related with the regional fund to finance film production. Since 2009 Wroclaw's coordinator of Festival WatchDocs, author of the program and curator of the 6th Film Review the Brave Festival 2011. Department of history and pedagogical's graduate on Wroclaw's University, privately lover of literature, bikes, porcelain and Persian culture. His the biggest film fascination is the Andriej Tarkowski. He loves journeys and learning about new cultures.
